SWEEPSTAKES RULES
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THE CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. How to Enter the Contest:
(a) The "VIP SET EXPERIENCE WITH JIM HILL" sweepstakes will begin on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 12:00am PDT and end on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:59pm PDT. Sweepstakes is sponsored by KCBS ("Station") and Denny's, INC. ("Sponsors").
(b) To participate in the sweepstakes, go to a local Denny's Restaurant and pick up an official entry blank at participating Denny's Restaurants in Southern California, and enter with name, address, age, email address, and daytime phone number. Entrants must enter online at www.cbsla.com or send their completed entry form to:

Mail-in entries must be received by Friday, July, 22, 2011 to be eligible.
(c) Participants may enter as many times as they like during the sweepstakes period, but only one (1) entry per envelope or one (1) online entry will be considered an entry. An entry submitted is deemed to be made by the holder of the e-mail account. No mechanically reproduced entries are allowed.
(d) Sweepstakes sponsors are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, misaddressed, postage due, incomplete, or illegible entries. Sponsor is not responsible for technical or computer failures, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable Internet connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or deleted computer or network transmissions, inability to access any Web site or on-line service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, illegible or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If the judges determine, in their sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the Contest or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Contest and conduct a random drawing to award the prize among all eligible entries received as of the termination date. If the Contest is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at www.cbsla.com. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant that tampers with the operation of the Contest or website or violates the Official Rules of the Contest.
(e) Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Southern California who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of KCBS-TV, KCAL9-TV, CBS Corporation, Denny's, INC. and their respective directors, officers, governors, employees, agents, affiliates, franchisees, subsidiaries, promotion and advertising agencies, immediate family members and persons living in the same household are ineligible, other television and radio stations in the Los Angeles market, and their affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising agencies and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household are ineligible to participate or win.
(b) Entrants are eligible to win a KCBS-TV sweepstakes only once every sixty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any sweepstakes. Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.
(c) All entries become the sole property of Station and will not be returned. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to these rules and the decision of the Sponsors, which shall be final. The winner will be required to sign a Winner's License Agreement and Release prior to participation or his/her prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner may be selected. By submitting an entry, a winner hereby gives the Sponsors and their respective agents and assignees, full permission and authority to use, publish and display the winner's name, voice and photograph or other likeness for advertising or other related purposes, in any media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity, without additional compensation.
(d) Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 18.
3. Prizes:
(a) GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand prize winner will receive: one (1) VIP Set Visit with Jim Hill including: one (1) Studio Tour, a Meet & Greet with Jim Hill, and roundtrip limousine to/from the winner's Southern California residence to the KCBS-TV Studios. Value of Grand Prize: $500.00
Date of "VIP SET EXPERIENCE WITH JIM HILL" is at the sole discretion of KCBS-TV.
(b) All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KCBS-TV, 4200 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA, 91604. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within two (2) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KCBS-TV is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
(c) Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash. Station reserves the right to substitute prize of comparable value.
4. Selection of Winners:
(a) Decisions of Sponsors with respect to the contest are final.
(b) The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a Station representative through a random drawing to be conducted on Monday July 25, 2011. A representative of KCBS-TV will contact the winners by telephone. If KCBS-TV is unable to contact a winner based on the information provided on the entry form through the initial phone call, an alternate winner will be selected from all other eligible entries. Winner(s) must be present on the phone to win and accept the prize as stated.
(c) By accepting a prize, the potential winner agrees to release and hold harmless KCBS-TV, KCAL9-TV, CBS Corporation, Denny's, INC. and each of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, and employees, affiliates, franchisees, subsidiaries, distributors, and agents, including but not limited to their respective advertising and promotion agencies, (the "Promotion Entities") from any and all liability of any kind arising from or in connection with any prize, and acknowledges that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.
5. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner and winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 or equivalent from Station.
(b) By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, and to sign a publicity release, affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to acceptance of the prize. By accepting the prize, each winner grants to Station the right to use the winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). All expenses on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner and travel companion, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release Station, CBS, their respective parents and subsidiaries, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity.
Further, by participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to INDEMNIFY, release, forever discharge, AND HOLD HARMLESS, and covenant not to sue, the Sponsors (KCBS-TV and Denny's INC.) and each of their respective owners, stockholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, franchisees, representatives, successors, heirs, and assigns, and each and every person acting by, through, under or in concert with them, or any of them (hereinafter referred to as the "Indemnified Parties") of and from all manner of action or actions, cause or causes of action, at law or in equity, suits, claims, demands, damages, liability, lost cost or expense, of any nature whatsoever, known or unknown, fixed or contingent which the entrant may have or hereafter have against the Indemnified Parties by reason of any damages, loss, or injuries sustained by the entrant, whether to his/her person and/or property, as a result of or incident to ANY CONDUCT of the Indemnified Parties in CONNECTION WITH the Sweepstakes and/or of any entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes.
6. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to these rules and the decision of the Sponsors, which shall be final. 7. CAUTION: Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the sweepstakes or intercept or interfere with the sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and pursue any and all remedies available, to the fullest extent of the law. The delay or failure of Sponsors to enforce any particular provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. Station, CBS, Denny's, INC., their respective directors, officers, governors, partners, members, employees, agents, franchisees, their affiliated companies, representatives, agents, employees or promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for, and shall be indemnified by the prize winners against any claims, injuries, including, without limitation, death, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, use, misuse, possession, or loss of the prize.
8. Contest sponsors reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the contest which will become effective upon announcement.
9. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.
10. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification.
