TVD: One Packed Episode
It was one positively packed hour this week on TVD. Packed away in a tomb super freak Alaric was left to die, but is still freaking alive! Afraid of the power Alaric packs, Rebekah packs up and leaves town. But, pack rat Klaus knowing what's at stake says he won't pull up stakes, until he packs up Elena for the road trip.
Meanwhile, Alaric is pulling out all the stakes by staking out at the high school with Caroline as his hostage. She's a stakeholder to lure Elena who will be used as a stakeholder to lure Klaus, so Alaric can stake him.
Our pack men, Stefan and Damon, packing a lot of hate for Alaric realize they need to pack some extra punch. So they make a pact with Klaus to assist them in pummeling Alaric. Klaus proposes to Stefan that once Alaric is packed away, he is packing up and leaving and packing up Elena with him. Stefan makes it a package deal and agrees to pack up and go with Klaus.
In order to send Alaric packing, Bonnie packs a wallop of a spell that will stop a vampire's heart from pumping-- putting him in a permanent paralyzing position. But in order to make the cardiac arrest, Bonnie must also stop a human heart. They decide Jeremy's heart should stop pumping and Bonnie will pump life back into him after the spell is complete. Our pack of guys all drink Bonnie's blood to link them to Bonnie and she tells them that in order for the spell to pack a punch they have to place their hands near Alaric's pumping heart, so they can channel Bonnie directly to Alaric and cast the spell.
Meanwhile, super freak Alaric tries to persuade an unwilling Elena to kill Caroline, Caroline escapes. That's when the vamp pack of Klaus, Stefan and Damon pummel Alaric. Alaric is like a pachyderm popping the necks of Stefan and Damon…then Klaus and Alaric exchange punches. When it looks like Klaus is about to pack it in, Elena ponders that when Alaric procured the potion that changed him into a super vampire killer, the witch procured Elena's blood – THAT LINKS THEM FOREVER! So if Elena packs it in for the final dirt nap, Alaric will pack it in too. So, Elena picks up a knife and promises to kill herself, giving Klaus a chance to take out Alaric temporarily. But Klaus packs Elena off with him to his pad and begins to drain her of all her blood, so he can pack it up, leave super freak Alaric and sire more hybrids. This blood letting would kill Elena and at the same time rid Klaus of Alaric –all in one neat package.
As it looks like Elena is about to pass out from blood loss, the rat pack of Stefan and Damon and (packing a six pack), Tyler, pop up on Klaus. Stefan promptly links to Klaus' heart which prompts Bonnie to stop Jeremy's heart thus prompting Klaus' heart to pack out. YEAH! Klaus is permanently paralyzed –for now. But Stefan looks sad as he is taking out Klaus. So our three pack of Elena and the brothers go home. On the way home, Elena puts an ice pack on the "Klaus is gone" celebration, by telling the brothers that she cannot make a decision on which one she ultimately choose because she has lost so much already and doesn't want to lose another person in her life. Oh Boo-Hoo. The boys package up Klaus' body to dump it in a lake. As they drive to the lake they make a pact about their predicament if Elena picks the other brother. They make a package deal that the brother not picked, will pack up and leave town.
But what about super freak Alaric? He picks up the phone to call a vampire council meeting. He counsels the council that the two lead council members are conning the council and not complying with the duty to serve. They are packing secrets that their kids are a vampire and werewolf. Remember that's the super freak calling the other freaks, freaky.
All is peaceful until Elena – now alone in her home painting a lovely pale green on Alaric's old room, suddenly grabs her head and passes out in her own blood. DUM DUM DUM Cue the music
So tell me vamp readers: What's with the vampire council being counseled. What will they do? Parent pressure to pack their kids up? Or does this mean Caroline's and (packing a six pack) Tyler's contract was not picked up for next season? And why was Stefan so sad on putting Klaus into a permanent paralyzed position…was there a bro-mance I missed? And what's with Elena passing out… was it due to the paint fumes? Pack on the comments below. Next week the season finale –you know it will be a cliffhanger of a doppelganger!
