Hi all! I'm so behind on blogging! So I thought I'd give you --Tuesday Tidbits about Mark, Me, and Cookies!

...the NEW Mark...
So have ya'll met the new guy--Mark Mathis?

He joined the team about 2 and half weeks ago and boy is he a kick! He has a lot of energy...and I mean A LOT! Ha!

He is a huge fan of the show and thrilled to be a part of the Good Day team.

He does weather and features...he and I will also be doing the 9 o'clock hour...when I return from maternity leave!

He is out of control...but I look forward to working with him! Welcome Mark!

Well folks, you've probably notice I've been gone the last couple days. I am officially on maternity leave.

Here are just a few pictures from my last day! I am now home...resting...anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Girl Large.

I received so many emails, cards and gifts before I left! THANK YOU!!!

I am overwhelmed by your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity during this special time.
I may be gone, but you can't get rid of me that easy! Ha! I'll be skyping with on show every once-in-a-while. Our first skype is set for Friday morning!

....we love COOKIES!!!...

It is that time of year again...time for the annual Ortiz Cookie Exchange! As last years first place winners, Tina and I were on a mission to return with another another winning recipe. (Not to mention, Tina has been smack talking since LAST year!) After months of sifting and searching...we found it. Cinnamon Nut Chocolate Swirls. One word...delicious.

I have to admit, the competition was fierce. Everyone showed up with their A game! The cookies were beautiful! From lemon to peanut butter, mint to dark chocolate and biscotti...they were all very tasty too!

In the end, Tina and I walked with a win for the PRETTIEST cookie of the bunch! Yeah!

Okie dokie...that's all for now! I'll check in with you later with week...I need to get the nursery in order!
