Shocked, Surprised, Stunned!

I couldn't believe it when I found out – and I'm sure you can relate – it was shocking news when I heard it but I'm trying to calm down.

Our home SMUD bill was $300 last month!!! Can you imagine????

Oh, you thought I was talking about Don Geronimo joining the cast of Good Day next month? Ohhhhh, that!

Well, it seems fitting that my first-ever Good Day blog on our revamped website is about Don. Last time I saw him, here in studio, he and I got into a -- let's say, "heated" -- off-camera exchange that took on a life of its own. Both, um, strong-headed, neither of us backed down. It was a mess.

Well, we've moved on. We're good. Don is a talented guy and we're happy to have him. We're all one big, weird family of the CBS Network and we will work together to make good TV and radio, and you get the benefit. Sort of like chocolate and salt. Sounds strange, but for some reason, it works.

Tune in Monday, February 14! It's Valentine's Day, time to spread a little love and forgiveness. Let's see if I can put my money where my mouth is!
