1 Person Dead, Several Others Injured In Ceres Shooting

CERES (CBS13) - One person has died following a shooting that injured several people in Ceres over the weekend.

Around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office received reports of a shooting in the 3600 block of Spruce Avenue in Ceres, which is an unincorporated area of the city. When they arrived at the scene, deputies found three gunshot victims. All three were taken to local hospitals. One of the victims, 27-year-old Jose Soto, was pronounced dead, according to a sheriff's office statement.

A fourth person later arrived at a hospital with at least one gunshot wound they allegedly received during the incident.

Detectives are actively working on leads in the shooting.
