My Girls
Note: Read if you can handle the medical information... pics below of MY GIRLS.
Thank you to everyone that sent me notes of well wishes while I was on medical leave. In all seriousness, I had to have reconstruction surgery to fix the problems I was having with the implants I had after the mastectomy. I had the implants in for a year but they became encapsulated and there was tissue hardening too around each one. Sigh. Let me tell you that I hate surgery. Recovering is a pain in more ways than one. So, I changed out the silicone and went to tear drop shaped saline which are also textured while silicone is smooth. My doc said that some times capsular contracture happens more often with silicone compared to saline. So far, so good. Time will tell. I know a lot of info. If I had a choice to have a boob job, I wouldn't have one. A boob job is called breast enhancement. If someone is dealing with breast cancer and decide to have a breast or breasts removed and want implants, it's called reconstruction. With enhancement, the implant will be usually placed under the breast tissue and muscle. With reconstruction, there is no more breast tissue so the implant is usually placed under the muscle. I'm thankful my health is good.
Ready?
Ok here you go..... Tina
