Fenner Family Jambalaya Recipe
The men of the Fenner Family are helping Ken make breakfast in this morning's manly minute! The menu: Jambalaya, Red Pepper, Mushroom and Cheese Omelettes, Turkey Bacon and French Toast.
Fenner Family Jambalaya
Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 cups chopped onions
1 cup chopped bell pepper
3 tsp salt
1 1/4 tsp cayenne
2 lbs Andouille sausage cut into 1/4" slices
3 bay leaves
3 cups rice
6 cups of water or chicken stock
Procedure:
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add onions, bell pepper, salt, cayenne, and sauté for about 3 minutes.
Add sausage and cook for about 5-10 min.
Add rice and cook for 2-3 min.
Add water or stock and bring to a boil then simmer for about 30 min.
