'Troubled' Cole Beasley Leaves Cowboys Camp

OXNARD, CA (CBSDFW.COM)  - Rookie wide receiver Cole Beasley - an offseason sensation for the Dallas Cowboys as an undersized wide receiver who as a Little Elm kid and an SMU product has always dreamed of playing for America's Team -- did not attend the team's afternoon training camp practice and is explaining to 105.3 The Fan that he's dealing with "personal stuff.''

"I've got a lot of personal stuff going on right now,'' Beasley said in an exclusive interview with us. A source inside the organization tells 105.3 The Fan that the club is attempting to "talk him out of quitting football.''

Beasley, 5-8 and 177 pounds, went undrafted due to his lack of size. But the Cowboys are a team with a roster vacancy for a backup receiver, and in the first few days of camp, Beasley looked capable of winning a job.

This is a developing story - listen to 105.3 The Fan for the latest details.
