DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Two more grocery store chains are offering home delivery in North Texas. For the first time today trucks rolled delivering food from Tom Thumb and Albertsons stores.

Customers can order groceries online or through the store's apps. The Tom Thumb service offers one-hour delivery windows and a 'shop-by-history' that pulls purchasing information from previously bought items.

Once a customer places an order and selects a delivery time and date, a personal shopper selects the items and loads them into the trucks for delivery.

And these aren't just any trucks bringing the food to your front door. The new delivery trucks have different temperature zones -- for frozen items, refrigerated items and shelf items.

There are nearly 50 Albertsons and 60 Tom Thumb stores serving the North Teas area.
