Robb Elementary School principal placed on administrative leave

UVALDE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Robb Elementary School Principal Mandy Gutierrez has been placed on administrative leave with pay. 

Gutierrez was the principal at the time of the shooting that took place at Robb Elementary School on May 24.

"I can confirm that Ms. Gutierrez was placed on Administrative Leave With Pay today by Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Superintendent Hal Harrell," Attorney Ricardo G. Cedillo said on Monday. 

Gutierrez did not comment.

Uvalde CISD Police Chief Pete Arredando has also been placed on administrative leave following the shooting that killed 19 students and two teachers.

UVALDE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - La directora de la Escuela Primaria Robb, Mandy Gutiérrez, ha sido puesta en licencia administrativa con goce de sueldo.

Gutiérrez era el director en el momento del tiroteo que tuvo lugar en la Escuela Primaria Robb el 24 de mayo.

"Puedo confirmar que la Sra. Gutiérrez fue puesta en licencia administrativa con goce de sueldo hoy por el superintendente del Distrito Escolar Independiente Consolidado de Uvalde, Hal Harrell", dijo el lunes el abogado Ricardo G. Cedillo.

Gutiérrez no hizo comentarios.

El jefe de policía de Uvalde CISD, Pete Arredando, también fue puesto en licencia administrativa luego del tiroteo que mató a 19 estudiantes y dos maestros.
