MIDLOTHIAN (CBSDFW.COM) - As disaster assessments, shelter operations and supply distribution continues across Dallas, Collin and Ellis counties, the American Red Cross is set to launch a new service in Midlothian on Tuesday.

A Multi-Agency Resource Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Longbranch Elementary School at 6631 FM 1387 in Midlothian.

This center is a one-stop shop where disaster victims can meet with Red Cross workers and representatives from other agencies such as The Salvation Army, Texas Baptist Men and Victims Relief Ministries. The Center will be open each day from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. through Friday.

In harder hit areas such as Rowlett and Garland, a Multi-Agency Resource Center will be opening later in the week. In Collin County, especially in the areas of Copeville and Blue Ridge, Red Cross disaster assessment teams are nearly finished with their work and as early as tomorrow afternoon, Red Cross teams will begin meeting with families one-on-one to assess their needs and help them begin a recovery plan.

With multiple counties hit by the destructive tornadoes, the American Red Cross is working as quickly as possible to assist everyone impacted. To reach the American Red Cross to request disaster assistance, call 1-800-REDCROSS.

The best way to support the American Red Cross is by making a financial contribution here or by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10.
