Pregnant Mother Killed By Injuries From Car Crash

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A nine month pregnant mother died after a car accident early Sunday morning.

Dallas Police Department spokesperson Melinda Gutierrez said at around 12:40 a.m. police officers responded to a car accident on FM 1382.

The 15-year-old driver, a 5-year-old passenger and the pregnant mother were all taken to the hospital. The pregnant mother has since been pronounced dead.

Gutierrez has confirmed the 9-month-old fetus survived the accident and has been put in Neonatal ICU.

The mother has been identified as 35-year-old ShaChela Mikelsa Womack.

No information about the condition of the 15-year-old driver or 5-year-old passenger has been released yet.
