NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBSDFW.COM) - If you are planning to go out for dinner in North Richland Hills anytime soon, there is something that you might want to look at first. The city has released its latest list of restaurant health inspection scores.

The lists are created each month, and posted online for diners to check out. The newest list of scores covers restaurants which were inspected throughout the month of January. It includes all food establishments within city limits -- even places like child care facilities and grocery stores.

When looking at the scores, it is important to note that lower numbers are better. The locations are given a ranking between 0 and 100 demerits, with anything 30 or higher indicating serious conditions that need immediate correction. A restaurant that scores a 0 had no violations.

And there were places on the January list that received a perfect score -- such as Fuzzy's Taco Shop along Rufe Snow Drive.

The worst scores dished out last month went to Poor Daddy's Smokehouse on Boulevard 26 and Sushi Nikko on Precinct Line Road. Both restaurants had 26 violations.

Customers can easily access this information in two ways. The City of North Richland Hills offers a service that notifies diners about updates via email or text. Also, the health permits found at all restaurants include a special QR code. Scanning that code with your smartphone will direct customers to the most recent health inspection scores.
