NORTH TEXAS (CBS11 SPORTS) - Jackie Galloway is not afraid to admit that she has a dual personality.

As a sophomore engineering major at SMU, she has always been in her words "dorky"; but as the top rated Tae Kwon Do athlete in the Unites States she says her killer instinct is second to none.

Galloway has won several gold medals in international competition. Now she gets to go for the gold in Rio this summer.

Jackie is the only U.S. Tae Kwon Do athlete to qualify for the Olympics so far.

Her father, Gary, has been her coach since she took up the sport at age seven. He says, "The family is not just proud of Jackie for what she has accomplished but proud of who she is as a person."

Training at the family gym in North Garland, sparring with her brother, Austin, Jackie says anyone who knows her "Knows I have no fear and that 's why I win."

A fearlessness that stated at age 14, when having dual citizenship[ in Mexico, she won a spot on the Mexican National Team. For two years, she lived in Mexico City, while all of her family and friends were back in the USA.

Galloway says it was a sacrifice but being the best at Tae Kwon Do has always been her lifelong dream.

This summer in Rio she has a chance to make her dream come true. The only promise Jackie Galloway will make is "I am going there to win."
