ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A game-ending fight between North Crowley High School and Arlington Martin has landed coaches and football players in hot water.

And the nasty end to the Friday night football game isn't the end of the fallout either.

"It's really what we're seeing on social media. Rumors and we really don't know the truth," said one student about the video footage of the fight.

Arlington Martin was up big, then kicked a onside kick and recovered it. But they didn't score off the onside kick. Both schools have alleged that both of the sides started the fight. But there are conflicting reports about the origin of the fight.

"It started right away. There was a spark, then fighting. It seemed like the fight started at the end of the game," according to the man who shot the video, Michael Eldridge.

Eldridge covers high school sports for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

"We thought something would happen, but I didn't start recording until I saw it happen," said Eldridge.

The Arlington school district confirmed that coaches' decisions, along with player's actions are now under review.

Crowley officials issued a statement that said they will take disciplinary action against students who violated code of conduct rules.

The University Interscholastic League said a committee could impose penalties if violations by students and/or coaches are found.

But as it stands now, no one has lost their chance to play or coach despite the fights of Friday night.
