Woman Killed In Crash On Highway 75 In Richardson

RICHARDSON (CBS11) - Highway 75 in Richardson closed for several hours Friday afternoon after a deadly crash.
Police say a woman was killed and other members of her family were injured. The 63-year-old, Madhavi Meharunkar of Plano was not the driver.
The crash closed all southbound lanes of the highway near the Bush Turnpike.
Witnesses tell police a driver got distracted, over-corrected and crashed into the Plano family's minivan.
The distracted driver took off but Richardson Police say he later confessed to them.
Police say Atheer Latif, 23, is charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide.
All lanes on Highway 75 reopened around 7:00 p.m.
