FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A Fort Worth mother says her kids and a neighbor found staples inside three Reese's Cups after Trick-or-Treating in their Creekwood community.

"If this is a joke... this is a sick joke," says Tabitha McEntire from her kitchen. She still has the pieces of chocolate and peanut butter with staples lodged inside.

"This one actually has two inside."

McEntire says her neighbor called on Halloween night after her son found a staple in a Reese's Cup.

"Panicked. Freaked out," McEntire says about her reaction. "I really didn't know what was going on. And I'm thinking, surely this is one piece of candy. It's a small mistake."

So she dumped her kid's candy on the kitchen table.

"And we said, 'you know what, let's just start going through all of the Reese's'," says McEntire.

She found four staples in three pieces of candy, and all of it came from her neighborhood.

"We didn't go anywhere else. We trick-or-treated right here," says McEntire, who called police, filed a report and contacted the Hershey Company.
