FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A company based in North Texas unveiled plans Monday for a huge theme park in Fort Worth, one that could be a huge draw for the area.

Dreamvision moved its headquarters to Fort Worth from Florida two years ago, and said that they are now invested in DFW. They want to build an entertainment complex in Cowtown that could rival the Disney parks.

The plans include much more than a theme park -- a movie studio, water park, golf courses, theaters, shops, hotels and concert venues. The entire thing will sit on a 5,000 acre plot, but the exact location is not yet known.

And at the center of the land will be, what the company called, an iconic Dreamvision mountain towering over a 'winter wonderland' theme complete with indoor snow experiences like skiing, snowboarding and bobsledding. The theme will be enhanced with artwork inspired by Thomas Kincaide.

Other themes found within the complex will be a Tinseltown area, a storybook land, and something only referred to as a 'Metropolis.'

It will be dubbed Dreamvision Mountain & Dreamscape, and is expected to cost $3.5 billion. That park will be privately funded, and will create thousands of jobs after construction is complete.

The company hopes to build a similar theme park in Alabama at the same time. The opening dates for the theme parks is projected to be sometime in 2020.
