FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Police have shot and killed a dog at a home on Fitzhugh Ave, just east of Loop 820, while investigating a possible crime ring.

According to police, officers were called to the house just after midnight on reports a person was outside with a gun.

When they arrived, they found stolen vehicles and stolen merchandise.

A dog that was protecting the house charged officers and was shot and killed by police.
