DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – According to a new study Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is the 12th-worst in the United States.

A study by ThePointsGuy.com examined the 30 busiest U.S. airports and used data from the FAA, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, J.D. Power, Google Maps, iFly.com and the airports' official websites.

The rankings were determined by the importance of how well each airport serves its primary purpose – getting you where you're going on time, how easy it is to reach the airport by car or public transportation and amenities like restaurants and lounges, as well as fees for parking and WiFi.

Additional categories included flight delays, cancellations, average security wait times, distance from the city center, WiFi costs and parking rates.

DFW has the second fewest restaurants per capita, the fifth most cancellations and the ninth most flight delays. A bright spot is the eighth shortest average security wait time.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the best U.S. airport and New York's LaGuardia Airport is the worst, according to a new study.
