Cowboys RB Randle Arrested For Theft Of Cologne, Underwear In Frisco

FRISCO (CSBDFW.COM) -- Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was arrested on Monday for theft in Frisco, 105.3 The Fan has learned.

Frisco Police confirmed to Shan Shariff that the 22-year-old was arrested for Class B Misdemeanor Theft $50-$500, at a Dillard's store in Stonebriar Mall.

"The items that were stolen were underwear and cologne," said Lieutenant Jason Jenkins with Frisco Police.

A police report indicates that Randle stole a 2-pack of black polo underwear valued at $39.50 and a tester bottle of Gucci guilty Black cologne valued at $84.00.

An in-store loss prevention employee witnessed Randle placing the unpurchased items in a store bag on a surveillance camera. When Randle left the store without paying, security was alerted to stop Randle.

Randle was escorted back into the store, where a store manager recovered the items.

The arresting officer says that Randle stated that he "should have just kept walking to his car if he knew he would be arrested," according to the police report. Randle stated that when he saw the security officer, the "old guy", he thought, "Alright, y'all got me."

Another officer at the scene says that Randle indicated he didn't pay for the merchandise "because he did not want to take the time."

Randle was booked at the Frisco City Detention Center and released on $350 bond around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Randle has appeared in a reserve role this season, carrying the ball just 16 times for 113 yards. He enjoyed his best game of the season on Sunday, rushing five times for 52 yards.

Dallas drafted Randle in the 5th round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He is making $495,000 base salary this season and is scheduled to make $585,000 next season.

Last Friday, 105.3 The Fan's Mac Engel spoke exclusively with Randle, who discussed his extensive shoe collection, which includes a pair of Gucci shoes valued at around $1,000.
