Best Organic Food In Dallas/Fort Worth

While The Dallas-Fort Worth Area may be best known for meat, a crop of organic, vegan and vegetarian specialty restaurants are sprouting up around North Texas and drawing crowds in droves. Cattle barons beware, an organic movement is afoot.

Be ready for a long wait if you want to indulge in locally sourced tree and branch flatbreads or apple and zip code honey bruschetta at this Bishop Arts adjacent hippie haute-spot. Its chefs use Dallas goat cheese and tomatoes, and gets much of its produce from local growers.

There may not be a way to get more organic than the Spiral Diner. With locations in Fort Worth and Oak Cliff, they are single-handedly changing the way North Texans think of eating Vegan. This oft-lauded restaurant takes traditional dishes -- think burgers, hot dogs, chili -- and creates them without meat, but manages to somehow keep the flavor.
