JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State says it has hired Baylor assistant Grant McCasland as its new men's basketball coach.

McCasland replaces John Brady, who announced in November that he would step down at the end of the season. Arkansas State says it will introduce McCasland as its coach at a press conference Wednesday in Jonesboro.

The Red Wolves finished the season 11-19 and 7-12 in Sun Belt Conference play. Brady, who joined Arkansas State after 11 seasons at LSU, has said he resigned because his contract was up.

McCasland has spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach at Baylor. Before that, he was head coach at the Division II school Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas.
