Michigan State Police trooper shot, suspect killed in shooting on Detroit's west side

Police say two detective troopers with the Metropolitan Detroit Auto Recovery Team were conducting an undercover investigation on Trojan Street near the corner of Murray Hill when a suspect, a 23-year-old Detroit man, came out of a house and shot at the troopers. The suspect fired three shots, striking one of the troopers in the leg, the back and in his vest.
