Corvette sets two new lap time records at Nurburgring, cars driven by Michigan-based engineers

Chevrolet set two world records on what's considered the most intense racing track in the world. For the first time in 14 years, General Motors sent Corvettes to Nurburgring, Germany, intending to break the world record. The company did just that with the help of Michigan-based engineers who work at the Milford Proving Grounds.
