Bill aims to rename stretch of M-53 in Macomb County after fallen police officer

There is a push to rename a Macomb County road after a fallen Sterling Heights officer. The proposed bill in Lansing is looking to rename the portion of the road the "Officer Leroy Imus Memorial Highway." Imus, who served for Sterling Heights police, was struck and killed during a traffic stop in 1971.
