The Lions are reportedly playing on Monday Night Football.
Things scarier than the Phoenix Coyotes...
The Red Wings need to stand up for their Captain Nick Lidstrom. I'm not saying they don't support him, I'm just saying that they need to protect him from further cheap shots that the Phoenix Coyotes are doling out.
"He was impressive," manager Jim Leyland said. "His mindset was to be a starter and he's getting into a groove. His demeanor was real good and he seemed much more calm. I think being more regimented helped him."
Phil Coke on the hill for Detroit who has had 2 very good starts so far since being moved from the bullpen.
Stafford, who is now throwing after having shoulder surgery, won two of the three events. In one event, he threw a 50-yard pass that was dropped by a fan that had bid to be part of his team.
An exam April 18 failed to find the cause for his continuing elbow problems, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL.
Forward Johan Franzen has a sore left ankle in addition to his facial injuries suffered in Game 2 and wasn't cleared to play in Game 3 until after the pregame skate.
The Lions dream would be to watch rangy LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson drop into their laps at 18.
Champ: Pavel Datsyuk for his great play so far in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and for not being a "hot dog"
Team defense and goaltending was supposed to be the Red Wings' Achillies' heel heading into the playoffs, their soft spot.
