Young Moose Attracting Too Much Attention In Park

MARQUETTE (AP) - A young bull moose has been drawing lots of attention at his adopted home in a Marquette city park, and police in the Upper Peninsula community say they hope he'll move on soon.

Cpl. Robert Mclaughlin says the moose was first reported last week at Presque Ile Park, and police closed the park on Friday and Saturday because of concerns about public safety.

McLaughlin says so many people were driving out to see the moose that residents complained about traffic backups. Police say they're also concerned that the moose might hurt someone who comes too close.
