Worker Dies In Scaffolding Collapse, Another Hospitalized
WATERVLIET TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a worker has died following the collapse of scaffolding and ladders in southwestern Michigan.
The Berrien County sheriff's department says it responded Tuesday evening to the construction accident in Watervliet Township and Carl Lee Stone of Hartford was pronounced dead at the scene. They say a second man was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The sheriff's department says the cause of the collapse is under investigation.
