Wings Climbing Standings In West

Following their 5-4 victory over the Oilers on Tuesday, the Red Wings found themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference, one point behind the Predators, whom they face Saturday afternoon.
The Wings have 93 points and trail the first-place Blackhawks by eight points in the Central Division.
"It's real tight in the West. The separation between teams over an 82-game schedule isn't very much," coach Mike Babcock said. "We all have our moments in the year where we've been good and where we haven't been good."
