Which State Has The Worst Drivers In The U.S.?
DETROIT (WWJ) - Which state has the worst drivers in America?
You might want to shout "Michigan!" but you'd be wrong. In fact, Michigan manages to escape the top 10 in a dubious list from financial tech firm SmartAsset.
The firm looked at four metrics -- percentage insured, DUI per thousand drivers, deaths per thousand drivers, and Google trends on driving tickets (internet searches for eight key phrases) -- to determine which state has the worst drivers.
And that honor goes to Florida, where drivers Google "speeding tickets" and "traffic tickets" more than any other state. The state also has the second lowest number of insured drivers in the nation.
Michigan ranks as 11th in the U.S. when it comes to bad drivers.
