DEARBORN (WWJ) - A Christmas day wedding tragedy in Dearborn leaves a bride's sister killed and a second was critically injured after their SUV collided with another car outside Greenfield Manor, less than hour before the wedding reception was to begin.
WWJ's Ron Dewey reports that the SUV carrying the bride's sisters collided with a compact car on Greenfield north of Michigan Avenue.
Dearborn Police say the two women were thrown from the back seat of the Jeep after it went out of control and struck a building.
A 22-year-old Dearborn woman, Eitedak Saleh Al-Gaithi, was pronounced dead at an area hospital, the other, a 21-year-old woman, Amain Saleh Al-Ammari, was reported in critical condition.
Police want to talk to the driver of a third car that may have been involved, or witnessed the crash, and left the scene.
While the investigation continues, police do not think drugs or alcohol were a factor.
