Water Main Break In Midtown Detroit
Flooding is causing problems Thursday morning in Detroit's New Center area.
Detroit Water and Sewerage Department spokesman George Ellenwood tells WWJ a 12-inch water main broke near Trumbull and Elijah McCoy streets, which is near the Lodge Freeway and West Grand Boulevard.
The flood waters trapped at least one vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Ellenwood said crews were making repairs at 9 a.m. The work is expected to take until late afternoon.
No homes or businesses were affected by the break.
