Water main break repairs slated for Harper Woods
Repairs are scheduled to start Monday morning for a water main break in Harper Woods, Michigan.
The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety says the break is in the area of 20842 Hollywood, and the repairs may disrupt service for multiple blocks in each direction.
Residents are asked to move their vehicles out of the area, and use caution near barricades and any slick roads.
The repairs will take about 3 to 5 hours; and residents should flush their water lines before using it for washing or cooking.
Water main breaks have been a recurring issue in southeast Michigan in recent weeks, including one that happened Sunday night along a major water line leading into Dundee. Winter weather and fluctuating temperatures are contributing to the problem.
