[VIDEO] Another Wild Finish For Spartans, Upsetting Ohio State 17-14

(WWJ/AP) - Michigan State continued to defy expectations upsetting Ohio State  17-14 in the final seconds of the game with a field goal to win.

The Buckeye's bid to repeat as college football's national champion has likely ended.

The second-ranked OSU saw their 23-game winning streak end with a 17-14 home loss against No. 9 Michigan State. Michael Geiger kicked a 41-yard field goal as time expired to put the 10-1 Spartans in control of the Big Ten East.

The Buckeyes gained just 132 total yards and failed to take advantage of the absence of injured Spartans quarterback Connor Cook. Without Cook, Michigan State completed just one pass in the second half and still managed to drop the Buckeyes to 10-1.

It's the first time Ohio State has lost a regular-season conference game since Urban Meyer became coach four seasons ago. Meanwhile, two of the Buckeyes' star offensive players suggested they won't be back in 2016.

Running back Ezekiel Elliot blasted his coaches and questioned why he carried the ball just 12 times. He said after the game that there was no chance he'd be back next year.

Quarterback Cardale Jones also suggested on Twitter that he would be leaving, posting a photo of himself on Twitter with the caption, "Last time walking down them steps and into The Shoe, wish the results were different tho."

Meanwhile in East Lansing, the home of the Spartans, a few lawless rowdies continue down the uninspired road to couch burning.

No couch was safe Saturday evening after the Spartans knocked off the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus.

The East Lansing Fire Department confirmed to WWJ Newsradio 950 that they received "four to six calls" about small couch fires in the area of Cedar Village.
