Troy Man Cited For Shooting Squirrels And A Chipmunk In Garden
TROY (WWJ) - A Troy man apparently thought it was hunting season in his backyard. Troy Police have a different thought.
A 69-year-old Troy man was given a citation for "discharging a firearm" after police responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area on Wednesday.
Police say the man admitted to shooting two squirrels and a chipmunk that were 'dining' in his garden. Reportedly the man used his .22 caliber rifle.
Police issued the citation and confiscated the rifle.
