Tigers To Participate In Play Baseball Detroit Community Clinic Tomorrow In Southfield
"Play Baseball Detroit" is a comprehensive youth baseball outreach program dedicated to strengthening and expanding youth baseball and softball programs in the greater Detroit region.
Community Clinics help little league baseball/softball organizations develop stronger programs and recruit new players. In addition, little league baseball/softball players are given a reinforced understanding of the fundamental skills of the game including position work and the importance of strength and conditioning.
The clinic will host 100 little league players from Southfield Youth Baseball.
The clinic's instructors for tomorrow will include Detroit Tigers Hitting Coach Lloyd McClendon, Pitching Coach Jeff Jones, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Javair Gillett, and Bullpen Catcher Scott Pickens.
