CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers will be recalling the contract of left-handed reliever Ian Krol from Triple-A Toledo, the Tigers announced Thursday.

A corresponding move will be announced before Friday's game, the team stated.

Krol has pitched in six games for the Tigers this season. He has a 4.76 ERA over 5 2/3 innings in Detroit.

In 14 games for the Mud Hens this year, Krol has an ERA of 1.15 over 15 2/3 innings.

In Krol's most recent appearance for Toledo, he pitched two scoreless innings.
