Three Reasons Why The NFL Didn't Go Far Enough By Suspending Saints' Vilma
1. If somebody in any business puts up money to injure a competitor physically, they would not only risk their employment, but jail time. Vilma put up $10,000 in bounty money. Come on. It's deplorable.
2. The players themselves just don't get it, many coming to Vilma's defense. What if they were targeted and actually hurt because of one of these bounties? The league is just trying to protect players from themselves.
3. The more we find out about long-term head trauma to professional football players, the more disturbing it becomes.
