After Justin Verlander, the three Tigers' most valuable players so far in 2011:
1. Alex Avila - Look, he had a rough July. But can you imagine where the Tigers would be without Avila? Me neither.
2. Jose Valverde - Hey, 33 saves in 33 save opportunties speaks for itself.
3. Jhonny Peralta - Could just as easily be Victor Martinez or Miguel Cabrera, but Peralta plays a premium position, so I'll give him the edge.
