The State Wayne Theatre Gets Make-Over

WAYNE (WWJ) - A 66-year-old movie theater in the city of Wayne is getting a 21st century face-lift.

The State Wayne theater is the scene of a grand re-opening Saturday adding the word 'Digital' to its name.

The unveiling of the new State Wayne Digital Theatre ties in with the conclusion of the city's annual Holiday Parade on Michigan Avenue.

The theater was purchased by the City in 1991 and completely renovated and made into a multiplex theater with four auditoriums. The building also boasts a stage for live theater, produced by local community theater groups.
