Syma Style: Wearing A Spring Dress In The Fall
Just because you have a dress that is meant to be worn during the spring or summer months, doesn't mean you can't wearing it during the fall or winter months.
Take the dress in the picture for example. I wore it on First Forecast Mornings Monday. It was far from spring weather outside, but I still put it on and accessorized accordingly.
Don't be afraid to wear bright colors during the colder season. This dress is a teal blue. It is also has cap sleeves.
So how did I work it? It is simple. Let's start from bottom to the top.
I threw on brown knee-high boots, a fall must-have! Then I wore textured brown tights. Both are very fall-ish.
I also put on a multicolored necklace. It was a dark gold with brown, orange and blue stones.
If you are too cold to wear the dress, throw on a blazer. Since I work in a studio, I can get away with wearing short-sleeves. If your office is chilly inside, wear a long brown or off-white button-down sweater that is the length of the dress. You can throw a brown belt over it too! In my closet, I have a velvet-type brown blazer that would look cute with this dress.
So don't put away your spring dresses! If you need help converting a spring dress for fall, post a picture of it on my Facebook page and I will give you some suggestions.
