Soldiers Return Safely From Stint In Afghanistan
DETROIT (WWJ) - Michigan National Guard soldiers returned home Saturday after serving in Afghanistan for the past year.
Family and friends waited for the arrival of the 75 soldiers from the 1225 Combat Sustainment Support Battalion with flowers and flags.
The soldiers arrived home earlier at the Detroit Light Guard Armory on Eight Mile Road.
The unit deployed to Kandehar last August. All made it back to Michigan safe.
