Six-Year-Old Surprises His Soldier Dad By Learning To Walk
DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) I know Sunday is Mother's Day, but this moment between a father and son should also be celebrated. There are a number of touching videos where a parent comes home after being stationed overseas for the military and surprises their child with a reunion. This time the child surprises his dad...by showing that he is finally able to walk.
When Staff Sergeant Jeremy Cooney left for Afghanistan his son Michael couldn't walk because of the effects of his cerebral palsy. But while his dad was away, the six-year-old little boy did learn to walk. The family decided to save the amazing surprise for when Jeremy finally came home. As he walks in for the reunion, Jeremy has no idea that Michael is also going to be able to walk across the gym and give him a hug.
