Shooting In Livonia

A woman is in critical condition after she was shot Thursday in Livonia. Witnesses say the 35-year-old from Ypsilanti was parked at an office building on Victor Parkway north of Six Mile when someone fired into her SUV.  Another woman is in custody for the shooting.  Police have not released a motive in the case, but say it was not robbery.

Livonia Police responded to the scene and found a female, had been shot several times while sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot of her employment.  The victim was stabilized and transported to Botsford Hospital by the Livonia Fire Department. The victim is in critical condition and undergoing surgery.

The suspect is another woman, but police couldn't say if the motive was a man.

 Witnesses at the scene indicated that there was a lone shooter on foot who fired several rounds into the victim's vehicle and then fled north from the scene of the shooting.

 The investigation is continuing.
