Riddle Doing Time With Madoff

(Detroit-WWJ) Detroit political consultant Sam Riddle Jr. has a knack for making news--even behind prison walls.

Riddle has been moved to the same federal prison holding Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff and a terrorist convicted of trying to blow up New York City landmarks.

According to the Detroit News, Riddle is now at the medium-security Butner federal correctional complex near Durham, North Carolina.

The flamboyant Riddle pleaded guilty in 2010 to conspiracy in an ongoing corruption investigation and is serving a 37-month sentence.

Madoff is doing 150 years after pleading guilty in 2099 to bilking clients out of billions of dollars through various investment schemes.

Also at the Butner facility is Omar Ahmad-Rahman, who is serving life for his role in trying to destroy New York landmarks and a plot to kill then-Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
