CBS DETROIT - Always looking for upgrades, the Detroit Lions bring in players for workouts every week. While the kicker auditions will undoubtedly garner the bulk of the attention following Sunday's loss, the Lions are reportedly checking out cornerback options as well.

Curtis Marsh, a former third-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, is in his fourth year in the league. Ellis Lankster, in his fifth NFL season, most recently played for the New York Jets. Lankster played in 15 games in each of the last two seasons.

Injuries have hit the Lions secondary hard this year. Cassius Vaughn has been dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss the last three games. Detroit also lost cornerbacks Bill Bentley and Nevin Lawson to season-ending injuries earlier in the year.

Besides Vaughn, Detroit's secondary includes starters Darius Slay and Rashean Mathis, both of whom have played well, and Danny Gorrer and Mohammed Seisay. Gorrer was acquired as a free agent, while Seisay was promoted from the practice squad.
