Report: Tigers Call Up Daniel Schlereth From Triple-A Toledo
For the first time, all four players the Tigers got in the big trade last December are together on the team's 25-man major-league roster.
The Tigers have called up left-hander Daniel Schlereth from Triple-A Toledo, the Toledo Blade reported. He takes the roster spot of left-handed reliever Fu-Te Ni, who was sent to Toledo on Wednesday. Schlereth is due to join the team for tonight's home stand opener against Seattle.
Schlereth, 24, recently has subdued his control problems. In his last five appearances, covering 4 2/3 innings, he hasn't walked anyone. Before that, he had walked 30 in 26 2/3 innings this season.
