Report: Lions' Best Suffered Another Concussion
Lions running back Jahvid Best suffered his second concussion of the season in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the 49ers, according to The Detroit News.
Best also suffered a concussion during training camp, and his status for next Sunday's game against Atlanta is in serious doubt.
Best has 390 yards and two touchdowns in six games this season. He has 84 carries, with the next-highest total on the team being 19 by Keiland Williams. Jerome Harrison has 14 carries and third-down back Maurice Morris has nine.
The Lions' depth was significantly impacted by rookie Mikel Leshoure's season-ending injury during training camp. Detroit could potentially look into a trade before Tuesday's deadline for someone like Dallas' third-string Tashard Choice, who Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he has fielded phone calls for.
