NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.
- HOW TO ENTER
- These rules govern the "Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center 13-13=$13,000" promotion (the "Promotion") being conducted by WXYT-FM ("Station") beginning on 9/13/11 at 12:00pm Eastern Time ("ET") and ending on 1/1/12 at approximately 12:00pm ET ("Promotion Period").
- To participate in the Promotion, you may enter via the following method:
ONLINE ENTRY: To enter via on-line registration, visit either http://detroit.cbslocal.com/station/97-1-the-ticket or www.quicklane13contest.com during the "Promotion Period" and click the Promotion entry button to connect to the Promotion registration page. Each entrant must fully complete the on-line registration page with all required information including his/her name, complete address, valid email address, birth date, and phone number(s) (including area code(s)). After having read and agreed to these Official Rules, click the submit button to submit your on-line entry. All on-line entries must include all required information and must be received by 12:00pm ET on Friday prior to the start of each game regular season game played by the professional Detroit football team to be eligible. Games currently scheduled for 9/18/11, 9/25/11, 10/2/11, 10/10/11, 10/16/11, 10/23/11, 10/30/11, 11/13/11, 11/20/11, 11/24/11, 12/4/11, 12/11/11, 12/18/11, 12/24/11 and 1/1/12. There is a maximum of one on-line entry permitted per person and per valid email address prior to the respective deadline for each game date. Any on-line entry submitted with an invalid email address will be disqualified.
IN-STORE ENTRY: During the Promotion Period, visit a participating Quick Lane Tire and Auto location during normal business hours to obtain an official entry form (available while supplies last). A list of participating Quick Lane tire and Auto locations is attached at the end of the Promotion rules. Legibly complete the official entry form in its entirety, and provide the entrant's full name, complete address (including street address, city, state, and zip code), daytime phone number (including area code), e-mail address (if any), and date of birth, and deposit it in the official entry box at the participating location. Entries must be received in the designated entry boxes by 12:00pm ET on Friday prior to the start of each game regular season game played by the professional Detroit football team to be eligible. Games currently scheduled for 9/18/11, 9/25/11, 10/2/11, 10/10/11, 10/16/11, 10/23/11, 10/30/11, 11/13/11, 11/20/11, 11/24/11, 12/4/11, 12/11/11, 12/18/11, 12/24/11 and 1/1/12. There is a maximum of one on-site entry permitted per person prior to the respective deadline for each game date.
Maximum of one entry per person per game date regardless of the method of entry. All contestants may only submit an entry on their own behalf. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. The "authorized email account holder" is the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Entries received will not be acknowledged or returned.
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
The Promotion is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who reside in Michigan. Employees of Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers, the Station, its licensee, each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, the Station's advertising and promotional agencies, its participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Detroit metropolitan area, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
Entrants are eligible to win a prize valued over $50 (or a ticket prize valued over $100, per ticket) in a Station-conducted promotion only once every thirty (30) days and a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six (6) months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion.
The winner must provide valid government-issued driver's license and provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize.
Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.
PRIZES
A maximum of fifteen (15) Grand Prizes will be awarded. Each Grand Prize is $13,000 cash.
Fifteen (15) Qualifier Prizes: Each weekly Qualifier will win a prize certificate valid for one (1) Works Package from Quick Lane Tire & Auto and one (1) $10 gift card from Buddy's Pizza. The Works Package consists of one (1) oil change, one (1) complete tire rotation, brake inspection, and vehicle check-up, fluid top-off, battery test, filter, belts and hoses check. Up to 5 quarts of oil, taxes, diesel vehicles and disposal fees extra. The Works Packages may be redeemed at any one of the thirteen (13) participating Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers listed below. See Buddy's gift cards for gift card restrictions and see any participating Quick Lane Tire and Auto dealer for additional details on Work Package. Prize certificates will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the issuers of the prize certificates. Prize certificates are not refundable or transferable, and may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or credit at any time, nor will prize certificates be replaced if lost or stolen. Approximate Retail Value of each Qualifier Prize is $49.95.
Prizes are not transferable, and no substitution, assignment, or cash equivalent of prizes are permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prizes are expressly limited to the items listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Station is not responsible for winners' limitations that prevent acceptance or use of prize. Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties expressed or implied, in fact or in law, whether now or hereafter enacted concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose, except for any express manufacturer's warranty as may be included with the prize or as may be separately provided to participants by law. Other restrictions may apply.
No more than the total number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. A maximum of one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded per game date, based upon an eligible Grand Prize winning occurrence as outlined in these official rules. If the Grand Prize winning requirements does not occur during a designated game date, then a Grand Prize will not be awarded on that game date.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.
Finalist Selection & Notification: Prior to each 2011 regular season game of the professional Detroit football team, one (1) potential Qualifying Prize winner will be selected by the Station in a random drawing of all valid entries received by the respective deadline for that particular game date (as described above). The potential Qualifying Prize winner may be announced on-air on WXYT-FM during the pre-game show for that particular game. In addition, each Qualifying Prize winner will be notified by phone and/or mail.
Any selected Qualifying Prize winner who does not meet the eligibility requirements will be disqualified. An alternate Qualifying Prize winner will then be randomly selected and notified per the procedures outlined above, time permitting.
In the event that the Qualifying Prize winner selected for any game date has not been selected or determined prior to the end of the second quarter on a designated game date for any reason, the Station reserves the right to randomly select a Qualifying Prize winner from all valid entries received for that game date at any point following the end of the second quarter.
Odds of being selection a Qualifying Prize winner are dependent upon the total number of entries received for a given game date.
Winning The Grand Prize: The designated Qualifying Prize winner for a designated game will win a Grand Prize, subject to confirmation of eligibility and in accordance with the Official Rules, if the exact score at the end of the second quarter and prior to the beginning of the third quarter of a designated Detroit professional football team game is 13-13 (example – Detroit 13, Washington 13 at the end of the 2nd quarter). If the exact score at the end of the 2nd quarter of a designated Detroit professional football game is not 13-13, then the Grand Prize will not be awarded for that game date.
Each prize winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within two (2) days of winning or prize will be forfeited. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required fully-executed affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize.
CONDITIONS
Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner's full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station's market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.
Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant's and/or winner's (and guest's, if applicable) permission for the Station or its agents to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film, and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media his/her name, address (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, audio or video recording, and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion, and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity, or promotion without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Each winner (and guest, if applicable) agrees to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize constitutes entrant's and/or winner's (and guest's, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless Quick Lane Tire & Auto, the Station, its licensee, their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and participating sponsors, and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, "Released Parties") from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Promotion, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including but not limited to any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.
If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promotion Entities that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winners, unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).
The use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Promotion administrator. The Promotion administrator's computer or telephone system is the official time keeping device for this Promotion. As applicable, entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address or mobile account submitted at the time of entry. For online entries, the authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning the email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. For phone or mobile entries, the authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the text or mobile telephone number by a telecommunications provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such numbers. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station's website. Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in an entrant's disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes. If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Promotion, the Station reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning this and future Station-administered Promotions and to prosecute and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Promotion, including, without limitation, the change of the end date and/or substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the Promotion and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering, or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure, or omission; (iii) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete, or late entries; (iv) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems or for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, poor signals or signal interference, accidental disconnection, equipment malfunctions, and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call or submitting a text message; or (v) any cancellations, delays, diversions, or substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) (and guest(s), if applicable) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same. Further, the Released Parties are not responsible if any part of a Promotion prize that cannot be awarded due to acts of god, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism, or other factors beyond the Released Parties' control.

For the names of the prize winners send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by 3/1/12 to the above address marked "Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center 13-13=$13,000 – Winner List." The Official Rules and the Winner List (when completed) shall also be available during regular business hours at the main offices of the Station and may be posted online at http://wxyt.cbslocal.com/.
